Veterinary Technician

Veterinary Technician: Top Duties and Qualifications

A Veterinary Technician is responsible for performing routine checkups and other medical procedures on animals to ensure their health and well-being. Their duties include communicating with pet owners, doing basic evaluations (i.e., TPRs) of pets, recording exam notes in patient files, assisting with surgical procedures, monitoring anesthesia, and assisting other veterinary personnel in taking blood samples or administering medications.

Job Description

We are a mobile clinic, so while we have a generally slower pace than brick-and-mortar clinics, we also require more flexibility than other clinics, and we may not be a good fit for someone who gets car sick easily or still needs to learn basic nursing skills.

Job Type: Full or Part-time

Salary: $15-19/hour depending on skills and experience levels

Benefits: We provide paid time off, disability insurance, life insurance, and an annual stipend towards other insurance expenses to full-time employees.

Experience: We prefer one year of experience in the field. We are willing to train the right person.
